Spotlight: San Miguel Student
Damian is a senior at San Miguel High School. He is the type of individual who stands out wherever he goes, due to his composed demeanor, etiquette and friendliness. Damain believes that, “The only way to succeed is through an education.” He spent part of his summer at Duke University where he participated in a LEAD program. “I never dreamed of anything like this,” he said. Damian is possibly considering majoring in Journalism.
Damian has worked with the Arizona Daily Star through San Miguel’s Corporate Internship/Work Study Program. This program gives students the wonderful opportunity to work in their community to pursue a major study field of their choice and, at the same time, work towards their tuition cost. Damian has received a tuition scholarship for the last three years through the Catholic Tuition Support Organization.
